Year 5 has learnt that they will be learning about 'entertainment' this term with the driving question 'How has science influenced entertainment?'
To begin our inquiry Year 5 experienced different ways people are entertained. Students rotated through activities focused on video games, board games, cards, lego, podcasts, music, videos, reading and art.

✨ And that’s a wrap on our 2025 Advent Concert! ✨ What an incredible evening we shared as a school community. As we begin the Church’s new year, we paused together to embrace the season of waiting, hope, and trust — preparing our hearts for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. Through prayer, reflection and song, we were reminded that while we wait for God, He is always waiting for us too — ready to meet us with love. ❤️ Our students and staff lit up the stage with their wonderful singing and joyful dancing, filling the stage with excitement and Christmas spirit. 🌟🎶💃 A huge thank you to our parents and families for your support, encouragement, and for being part of this beautiful celebration. We are truly blessed as a community. 🙏💛

✨ Kindergarten Safe & Ready to Learn Reward! ✨ Our Kindergarten students have been working hard to Live Safely, Love Respectfully and Learn Together, and today we celebrated their amazing efforts in the comfiest way possible! The children arrived in their cosy clothes, ready to relax and enjoy a special movie afternoon. It was the perfect reward for a term full of great choices, teamwork and big smiles! 🎬🧸💛

📘 Year 3 dove deep into place value, exploring how numbers are represented through hundreds, tens and ones using materials. They worked together to build, break apart and understand numbers in meaningful ways! 🏉 Year 5 hit the field for rugby drills and practice, sharpening their passing, running, attacking and defending skills. Lots of energy, teamwork and determination on display!

✨ Year 1 Safe & Ready to Learn Reward! ✨ Today Year 1 celebrated their reward for living safely, loving respectfully and learning daily — and what a day it was! Our students came dressed as their future selves, with doctors, scientists, builders and so many more inspiring careers filling our classrooms. The teachers joined in the fun too… by dressing up as retired versions of themselves! 👵🧓 In the afternoon we enjoyed a lively game of bingo — a favourite pastime of our “retired teachers.” It was such a joyful way to celebrate all the hard work and positive choices our Year 1 students have shown this term. 💛🎉 Well done Year 1! 🌟

✨ Kindergarten 2026 Transition Session 3! ✨ Today was a heart-melting moment at Holy Family as our upcoming Year 6 leaders met their Kindergarten buddies for the very first time 💛👫 There were smiles, shy giggles, little hands reaching for big hands, and the beginning of beautiful friendships that will grow throughout 2026 and beyond 🤝 Watching our senior students step into their leadership with such kindness and care was a reminder of the words of Jesus: “Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”✨ A perfect reminder that every act of welcome, gentleness, and love builds the kind of community Jesus calls us to be. Our Kindergarten 2026 students explored their new classrooms, met new friends, and enjoyed activities that sparked curiosity and joy 🖍️📚🌈 We can’t wait to see these beautiful buddy relationships grow even more in 2026! 💛🌟

Year 6 conducted a class survey to compare their snack choices before and after hearing the message, “Tomorrow, try to bring a healthy snack — real food fuels your brain!” 🧠🍎 They examined correlation in the before data, then repeated the survey and analysed the after results using two-way tables, graphs and percentage calculations. Students were able to clearly see the change the message created — real data in action! 📊✨

Year 3 had an amazing day celebrating their achievement of reaching our Safe and Ready to Learn goal! 🎉👏 Their hard work, positive choices and commitment to our expectations truly paid off.
