Year 5 has learnt that they will be learning about 'entertainment' this term with the driving question 'How has science influenced entertainment?'
To begin our inquiry Year 5 experienced different ways people are entertained. Students rotated through activities focused on video games, board games, cards, lego, podcasts, music, videos, reading and art.

Year 6 conducted a class survey to compare their snack choices before and after hearing the message, โTomorrow, try to bring a healthy snack โ real food fuels your brain!โ ๐ง ๐ They examined correlation in the before data, then repeated the survey and analysed the after results using two-way tables, graphs and percentage calculations. Students were able to clearly see the change the message created โ real data in action! ๐โจ

Year 3 had an amazing day celebrating their achievement of reaching our Safe and Ready to Learn goal! ๐๐ Their hard work, positive choices and commitment to our expectations truly paid off. Kindergarten 2026 โ Our Second Transition Morning ๐ Our newest Holy Family learners returned for their second Transition session yesterday, and what a joyful morning it was! โจ The children continued building confidence as they explored their new learning spaces, deepened friendships, and showed growing excitement about beginning their Kindergarten journey at Holy Family next year ๐๏ธ๐ While our future Kindy students were busy learning and playing together, parents and carers spent the morning with our Instructional Coach, Mr Wallis, discovering how families can support their childrenโs learning at home and unpacking the incredible work happening at Holy Family during our English block. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, ask questions, and see how our school-home partnership supports every learnerโs growth. Next week, our 2026 Kindy students will take another exciting step, meeting their Year 6 Buddies! ๐ง๐ง Watch this space as those special friendships begin to form. ๐ฟโจ Outdoor Classroom Day Fun! โจ๐ฟ Our amazing Year 2 learners took their Maths lesson outside yesterday for โOutdoor Classroom Day!โโ๏ธ๐ Led by their wonderful teacher, Miss Nicholas, students went on a 3D Object Hunt ๐บ๐ฆ๐ต around our school grounds searching for cylinders, cones, cubes and more! Year 2 celebrated their first reward ๐ for Term 4 with a Teddy Bearโs Picnic Extended Lunch ๐ป๐งบ๐ฅช and a Kahoot! ๐ป๐ฅณ Year 2 achieved this by following our school expectations of live safely ๐ก, learn daily ๐, and love respectfully โค๏ธ. We had a variety of teddy bears ๐งธ join us and enjoyed sharing an extended lunch together. We then went back to class to participate in a Kahoot! with a variety of questions from Disney โจ to Roald Dahlโs โMatildaโ ๐. The students cheered for each other ๐ฃ and celebrated their hard work ๐ช together. We canโt wait to see what our next reward will be! ๐

๐ Mini Fete Fun! ๐ Today, our Year 6 students hosted an incredible Mini Fete to fundraise for their end of year Fun Day! Throughout the day, students across the school joined in the excitement, taking part in a range of fun activities organised and run by our creative and hard working Year 6s. From Disco Fever and an Escape Room to Face Painting, Sponge Throw, Water Gun Fun, and Treasure Hunts, there was something for everyone to enjoy! Students also had a blast with Soccer Shootouts, Ping Pong, Lolly Jar Guess, and delicious Food and Drink Stalls. ๐๐ It was a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit โ a big congratulations to Year 6 for all their effort in making it such a success! ๐
