Year 5 has learnt that they will be learning about 'entertainment' this term with the driving question 'How has science influenced entertainment?'
To begin our inquiry Year 5 experienced different ways people are entertained. Students rotated through activities focused on video games, board games, cards, lego, podcasts, music, videos, reading and art.

📚✨ Today our school joined thousands of children and communities across Australia for National Simultaneous Storytime! Together, we paused to enjoy Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller 🦘💫, sharing in the magic of storytelling at the same time as readers all around the nation. Last Wednesday, a garden blitz was held at Holy Family School Garden 🌿🌼 to prepare the garden beds for planting! 🪴🌱 Our students worked hard across the school community 💚 🌱 Year 6 prepared a garden bed by moving and mixing soil. 🌱 Year 5 moved more soil and started planting seedlings. 🌱 Year 2 pulled out weeds and planted seedlings. 🌱 Year 4 helped tidy the Kindergarten play area by pulling weeds. 🌱 Year 3 prepared another garden bed ready for planting. What a wonderful team effort to help our garden grow! 🌼🌿👏

🕊️ This afternoon, we reflected on Pentecost Sunday through a beautiful prayer together ❤️ We celebrated the gift of the Holy Spirit — guiding us with wisdom, courage, peace and love — we are reminded to go forth and share these gifts with others each day. Our Year 5 students have been having a fantastic time developing their athletics skills during sport, especially while learning shot put! 💪🏽🏃♀️🏃♂️ It has been wonderful to see students encouraging one another, building confidence and trying their best as they practise their throwing techniques. We are so proud of the positive attitude and enthusiasm they bring to each lesson!
