Year 5 has learnt that they will be learning about 'entertainment' this term with the driving question 'How has science influenced entertainment?'
To begin our inquiry Year 5 experienced different ways people are entertained. Students rotated through activities focused on video games, board games, cards, lego, podcasts, music, videos, reading and art.

Last Wednesday, a garden blitz was held at Holy Family School Garden 🌿🌼 to prepare the garden beds for planting! 🪴🌱 Our students worked hard across the school community 💚 🌱 Year 6 prepared a garden bed by moving and mixing soil. 🌱 Year 5 moved more soil and started planting seedlings. 🌱 Year 2 pulled out weeds and planted seedlings. 🌱 Year 4 helped tidy the Kindergarten play area by pulling weeds. 🌱 Year 3 prepared another garden bed ready for planting. What a wonderful team effort to help our garden grow! 🌼🌿👏

Our Year 5 students have been having a fantastic time developing their athletics skills during sport, especially while learning shot put! 💪🏽🏃♀️🏃♂️ It has been wonderful to see students encouraging one another, building confidence and trying their best as they practise their throwing techniques.
