Year 5 has learnt that they will be learning about 'entertainment' this term with the driving question 'How has science influenced entertainment?'
To begin our inquiry Year 5 experienced different ways people are entertained. Students rotated through activities focused on video games, board games, cards, lego, podcasts, music, videos, reading and art.

Through this powerful encounter, we were reminded that Jesus sees beyond labels and invites each of us into relationship, belonging and responsibility. A wonderful beginning to a week where we celebrate who we are and who we are called to be, β¨For All, With All.β¨

πββοΈπ¦ What an incredible day at the Cumberland Zone Swimming Carnival! A huge congratulations to our six amazing swimmers who represented our school with pride today. Their determination, sportsmanship and effort in the pool were outstanding β and we are so proud to share that all six students have qualified for the Parramatta Diocesan Swimming Carnival! ππ A special congratulations to one of our talented competitors who was named Age Champion for their division β an incredible achievement! ππ We are so proud of the way our students represented our school, both in and out of the pool. β Anchors Aweigh! Year 4 Visits the Australian National Maritime Museum β Our Year 4 students stepped back in time during their visit to the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney ππ«. Students had the exciting opportunity to board a replica of the HMB Endeavour, experiencing what life was like for sailors during James Cookβs 1770 voyage β΅. They explored the cramped living quarters and learned about the challenges of life at sea, while also discovering the stories of the explorers who travelled across the oceans to reach Australian shores π§. It was a day full of curiosity, discovery and hands-on learning that brought our history lessons to life! ππ

Our Year 5 students had a fantastic Learning Day at Delany College! π Students experienced a taste of high school life by walking to different classes, learning with a range of teachers, and even carrying their backpacks between lessons π. Throughout the day they created keyrings in Textiles π§΅, explored creativity in Art π¨, solved the mystery of the broken trophy in English π, investigated what makes sherbet fizz in Science π§ͺ, and enjoyed some fun Sport activities πββοΈ. A big thank you to Delany College, Granville for hosting such an engaging day! π

Year 6 experienced a special day at ENCOUNTER with Gen Bryant. They lifted their voices in song, entered into prayer, reflected deeply on human dignity, and spent time in Adoration - encountering Christ in a powerful and personal way. βοΈ It was inspiring to see our students engaging with their faith so wholeheartedly as they continue to live, love and learn in Christ. π
