Western Sydney Catholic Schools hold the phone
Student mobile phone use will be banned across 80 Western Sydney Catholic schools from the beginning of the 2026 school year. The restriction presents a positive opportunity to enhance student outcomes, both in academic excellence and wellbeing.

Year 6 conducted a class survey to compare their snack choices before and after hearing the message, “Tomorrow, try to bring a healthy snack — real food fuels your brain!” 🧠🍎 They examined correlation in the before data, then repeated the survey and analysed the after results using two-way tables, graphs and percentage calculations. Students were able to clearly see the change the message created — real data in action! 📊✨

Year 3 had an amazing day celebrating their achievement of reaching our Safe and Ready to Learn goal! 🎉👏 Their hard work, positive choices and commitment to our expectations truly paid off. To celebrate, students enjoyed a fun mufti day followed by a relaxing drawing afternoon, giving them the perfect chance to unwind, get creative and enjoy the rewards of their efforts. Well done, Year 3 — we’re so proud of you! 🌟🖍️✨

🚗💨 Year 1 Scientists in Action! 💨⛵️ This term our curious learners are exploring the forces of push and pull through hands-on experiments! They made paper sailboats, rolled cars down ramps, played with different toys and tested their skills with sports equipment ⚽🏀. So much fun discovering how things move! 🌬️✨

Kindergarten 2026 – Our Second Transition Morning 💛 Our newest Holy Family learners returned for their second Transition session yesterday, and what a joyful morning it was! ✨ The children continued building confidence as they explored their new learning spaces, deepened friendships, and showed growing excitement about beginning their Kindergarten journey at Holy Family next year 🖍️📚 While our future Kindy students were busy learning and playing together, parents and carers spent the morning with our Instructional Coach, Mr Wallis, discovering how families can support their children’s learning at home and unpacking the incredible work happening at Holy Family during our English block. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, ask questions, and see how our school-home partnership supports every learner’s growth. Next week, our 2026 Kindy students will take another exciting step, meeting their Year 6 Buddies! 🧒👧 Watch this space as those special friendships begin to form. We can’t wait to continue welcoming our new families into the Holy Family community, where faith, learning, and love grow together every day. 💫

❤️ World Kindness Day at Holy Family! ❤️ “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32 Today we celebrated World Kindness Day, a joyful reminder that every small act of love has the power to transform hearts and build community! 💫 Miss Lianos led our staff in a beautiful reflection on the love of Jesus, the source of all true kindness. Her message encouraged us to think about how we bring that love into our classrooms, our conversations, and the everyday moments that shape our school life.
