Year Six students from Holy Family embarked on a learning experience they surely will not forget anytime soon. During their time at Delany students were provided with a taste as to what High School is like.
Students sampled a taste of lessons from a range of Key Learning Areas such as Science and Technology and Design and Technology. Upon, returning to Holy Family students were excited to share many stories about their day's adventures.

๐ Whatโs Been Happening in Stage 1?! ๐ Year 2 has been working on our Cricket skills during Sport each week! ๐We have been practising catching and throwing, batting and running between the stumps. ๐ Whatโs been happening in Stage 2! ๐ Year 3 had fun building 3D object nets with toothpicks and playdough ๐บ๐ฆ before transferring their designs into Google GeoGebra ๐ป๐โa great mix of hands-on learning and digital exploration! โจ Year 4 had an incredible day at the Australian Museum ๐๏ธ, learning from First Nations peoples ๐ค๐โค๏ธ about caring for Sea Country ๐๐ . Through hands-on exhibits ๐โจ and powerful stories ๐, students explored culture ๐ถ, science ๐ฌ and sustainability ๐ฟ in one amazing experience!

Today, our Years 4, 5 and 6 students were excited to kick off Book Week ๐โจ with a special visit from award-winning author Lisa Shanahan! ๐ Lisa captivated us with her storytelling and shared the inspiration behind some of her much-loved books, including Daddyโs Having a Horse ๐ด and Hark, itโs Me, Ruby Lee! ๐. Her visit inspired our students to celebrate the joy of reading and reminded us of the magic that books bring into our lives ๐ก๐.

๐ Whatโs been happening in Stage 3? ๐ Year 5 ๐ง explored philosophy ๐, asking big questions โ like โWhat is good?โ ๐ and โWhat is truth?โ ๐. They discussed wisdom ๐ฆ and how it can guide better life choices ๐ฑ. Year 6 ๐จ explored photomontage ๐ธ, combining photos ๐ผ๏ธ to share creative ideas ๐ก. In groups ๐ค, they designed and showcased ๐๏ธ๐ฌ products, explaining how their designs would attract customers ๐๐.

Today, we farewelled our visiting students from China ๐จ๐ณ following the completion of our cultural exchange program ๐๐ค. During their time with us, they participated in classroom activities ๐โจ, shared their language and traditions ๐ฎ๐ถ, and engaged in collaborative learning experiences ๐. Today, Year 3 had the pleasure of welcoming author Sarah Ayoub ๐โจ, who shared some of her published works, including The Love That Grew โค๏ธ๐ฑ and How to Be a Friend ๐ค๐. Our students enjoyed hearing about her stories and inspirations, followed by a delicious treat of chocolate cake ๐ฐ and lollies ๐ฌ. Today, we came together as a Catholic community โช๐ to celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary ๐๐ธ. Our Mass was a beautiful time of prayer, reflection, and unity โ๏ธโจ as we honoured Maryโs faith, love, and devotion to God. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs Clogher and Father Galbert ๐๐ for their dedication and preparation in creating such a reverent and uplifting celebration of faith. May her example inspire us to live with grace and trust in Godโs plan ๐๐.

Our Kindergarten students had an egg-citing day on their farm excursion today ๐๐๐ฅ๐! They got hands-on with farm life โ milking a cow, feeding a friendly goat, gently holding a fluffy chick, and petting the softest rabbit. ๐พ๐ The smiles, laughter, and wide-eyed wonder made it a day full of unforgettable memories and new experiences in the great outdoors ๐โ๏ธ.q
