Year 2 have been busy exploring the observable changes that occur in the sky and on the land through a range of exciting hands-on Science investigations this term 🔍 🔭🥼👩🔬👨🔬 Students investigated the movement and position of the Sun throughout the day and explored how it impacts the weather, temperature and our environment. 📊☀️🌡️ Using their knowledge of the seasons and weather patterns, students worked as young scientists to collect daily weather data, identifying changes and patterns in the sky and discussing how seasonal changes affect our daily lives and living things 🌙🌤️🌧️ We are so proud of the curiosity, teamwork and enthusiasm Year 2 have shown throughout their learning in Science this term! 🌏

Kindergarten brought a burst of colour to our day! 🎨✨ Our little superstars had so much fun celebrating their reward by coming dressed in their favourite colour! From bright and bold to cool and calm, it was wonderful to see so much colour, excitement and smiling faces around our school 💛💙❤️💚💜 What a fun filled day of colour, laughter and happiness! 🌟😊

✏️📚 Kindergarten students have been enjoying their on the mat sessions every morning as they build strong foundations in reading and writing. During these engaging lessons, students practise recognising letters and sounds, develop correct handwriting formation, and strengthen their early literacy skills through explicit learning experiences. A special part of the session is sharing and discussing learning with a partner, giving students opportunities to practise speaking, listening, and encouraging one another as learners. We love seeing their confidence and enthusiasm continue to grow each day! 🌟

📚✨ Today our school joined thousands of children and communities across Australia for National Simultaneous Storytime! Together, we paused to enjoy Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller 🦘💫, sharing in the magic of storytelling at the same time as readers all around the nation. Year 1 Bubble Afternoon Reward 🫧 Year 1 had a POP-tastic afternoon! Our students had so much fun enjoying their special Bubble Afternoon reward! It was wonderful to see everyone playing together and celebrating their fantastic effort and positive choices. ✨ It’s safe to say the excitement was bubbling over!

Last Wednesday, a garden blitz was held at Holy Family School Garden 🌿🌼 to prepare the garden beds for planting! 🪴🌱 Our students worked hard across the school community 💚 🌱 Year 6 prepared a garden bed by moving and mixing soil. 🌱 Year 5 moved more soil and started planting seedlings. 🌱 Year 2 pulled out weeds and planted seedlings. 🌱 Year 4 helped tidy the Kindergarten play area by pulling weeds. 🌱 Year 3 prepared another garden bed ready for planting. What a wonderful team effort to help our garden grow! 🌼🌿👏

🕊️ This afternoon, we reflected on Pentecost Sunday through a beautiful prayer together ❤️ We celebrated the gift of the Holy Spirit — guiding us with wisdom, courage, peace and love — we are reminded to go forth and share these gifts with others each day.
